POSITION TITLE:                             Public Works Director/County Engineer 

DEPARTMENT:                                 Public Works 

REPORTS TO:                                   Board of County Commissioners 

RATE OF PAY:                                  $132,683.24 - $154,205.87 per year (DOQ) 

OTHER COMPENSATION:               $10,000 sign on bonus split into three payments. $2,500 at time of hire, $2,500 upon satisfactory completion of probationary period (6 months) and final payment of $5,000 on one year anniversary. Relocation assistance possible. 

SUMMARY:                       The purpose of this position is to administer the Asotin County Public Works Department including, but not limited to, County Road, Municipal Solid Waste, and Stormwater divisions. This position as it relates to county roads is mandated through RCW 36.080.010. Work performed through this position includes direction of, participation in and oversight of all county engineering design and construction, supervision of Public Works employees, and direction of Public Works functions.
